Education Summit

The mission of this event is to stimulate communication, create fresh ideas and establish lasting bonds and relationships between New Mexico’s film and media industry and secondary and higher education institutions, thus, establishing a well-defined educational environment that offers cutting edge training for today’s competitive industry.

 

The New Mexico Film Office and the Governor’s Council on Film and Media Industries invite all NM Film & Media Educators to participate in an informative discussion and networking in Santa Fe.

ABOUT THE FILM OFFICE 

The New Mexico State Film Office serves the film and television industry locally, nationally and internationally. Our purpose is to market our state to the film industry, service productions and create lasting job opportunities for New Mexico residents. We offer many resources to producers, film crew and local filmmakers and work diligently to assist productions in finding potential filming locations. The Film Office consults with productions regarding the financial aspects and benefits of shooting their projects in New Mexico as well guiding them through the Refundable Film Production Tax Credit. We also connect productions with crew, vendor services and film liaisons throughout the state utilizing our website. In addition to promoting and providing production services, the film office is initiating emerging media opportunities for the state and working to expand industry infrastructure. The support of New Mexico filmmakers is a priority for this division, as is expanding the Statewide Film Liaison Network, developing the NM Film Tourism Initiative, and promoting Educational Outreach.
