Out this week: BRIAN ENO, LLOYD, MEMORY TAPES, OLD 97s, TEDDYBEARS, UNEARTH.

Halftime! Getting a few things in order ahead of a very busy second half, kicking back to advance music from Brushfire's Zee Avi (8/23) and Release the Sunbird (7/26).

Thanks to Rachel Masters and Steve Rennie for inviting me to drop by Incubus HQ last week, where the band has been running a week of live all-day online broadcasts + evening performances at their La Brea pop-up shop / studio in advance of their July 12 release. Total blast watching the band play the fan-fave 'Morning View' in its entirety, while Steve & Rachel are in the control room monitoring online buzz from around the world (especially South America) as it was happening. Check out this article for more details on the level on fan / band engagement, or check it all out for yourself at the band's site.

If you need further proof that the dog whistle is proving mightier than the bullhorn, check out this article about John Green, whose unfinished book has already hit #1 on Amazon & Barnes & Noble's bestsellers list, all thanks to direct engagement via tumblr, YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.

A few housekeeping notes -- anybody wanting to get a peek at the release schedule closer to Christmas can sign up for our Crystal Ball subscription service. Tons of new release listings for Q3 & Q4 added daily, the service pays for itself in one pitch.

Likewise, anybody looking to book Tipsheet ads for the fall should go ahead and do so now. I have a couple of random spots left for July & August should you need, but September is filling up WAAAAY in advance.
