Greetings!

Imagine...your paddle gliding through the dark waters of the Black. A Belted Kingfisher rattles its song in the distance. Wispy clouds float above your head in blue skies. You take a deep breathe of fresh air and marvel at the beauty before your eyes. This is the place we are working to protect. This could be the Black River Wildlands Nature Reserve.
Today, we have an opportunity to raise our voices on behalf of the water and the land; to protect 4.4km of the Black River shoreline, and 730 acres of intact wilderness.

The Couchiching Conservancy is working to raise funds to purchase a critical piece of land to fill a gap in the Queen Elizabeth II Wildlands Provincial Park. With linkages to the Carden Alvar in the south and to other Nature Reserves in the west, the Black River Wildlands could create an important wildlife corridor.

We need your help to make it happen. We need to raise $575,000 to protect this property - a big goal, but with your support, it will become a reality. With seven months to raise these funds, the time to act is now.
With your support, we are making a difference in our region.
