LOS ANGELES – (Sept. 28, 2017) – Kendall Brill & Kelly LLP announced today the addition of a new partner to the firm, Patrick J. Somers, whose legal experience at an

20 firm will further enhance KBK’s complex civil litigation practice.
Mr. Somers has more than a decade of legal experience, which includes handling complex civil litigation matters for various corporate and individual clients. Among his many clients have been global financial institutions, Fortune 100 companies, and a motion picture studio.

Mr. Somers has served as a leading attorney for every aspect of complex civil litigation, including pre-trial investigations and discovery, pleadings, case development, briefs, trial preparation and trial, and appeals.
In his legal practice, Mr. Somers has represented publicly traded and privately held companies and individuals in a wide range of litigation and regulatory matters, including securities litigation, complex commercial disputes, regulatory issues, and government investigations.
Among other cases, he collaborated with many members of KBK’s legal team in the successful defense of a major motion picture studio at trial and on appeal in a high-profile entertainment dispute brought by investors alleging securities fraud.

Mr. Somers is a graduate of Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and earned his B.A.,

, from Emory University. Shortly after graduating from law school, he served as law clerk to U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He also served as a law clerk to the late U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Wilfred Feinberg of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York. Prior to joining Kendall Brill & Kelly, Mr. Somers was an attorney at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York.
