Annual Ethics Conference Thursday, May 17, 7:30 a.m. Registration Troy Campus
The Walsh Institute will partner once again with the Michigan Women's Tax Association to offer the annual Ethics Conference. Certified professionals will receive three hours of Ethics CPE units. This year's topic is "Ethics in Social Media," and speakers are Debra McCulloch, Bush Seyferth & Paige PLLC and Lauren B. Foster, GM Global Tax Technology. A special panel presentation titled Words With Friends -
An interactive and entertaining discussion of ethics in social media - using social media - to discover the answers to: "Is it unethical, illegal or just irresponsible?" Panelists include Susan Koch and Brenda Meller from Walsh College; and Shanta McMullen from Butzel Long. Family Business Breakfast June 6
From White Castle to the White House Wednesday, June 6, 8 a.m. Registration Novi Campus Touring the country with their family business agenda, Jamie Richardson, White Castle Vice President of Government and Shareholder Relations and fourth generation family in-law, along with advocacy group leader Ann Kinkade, president of Family Enterprise USA, will come to Walsh on Wednesday, for a Family Business Breakfast. White Castle is a family-owned business based in Columbus, Ohio and owns and operates more than 400 White Castle restaurants in 11 states. Family Enterprise USA works as a credible voice and trusted advocate of family firms.
The breakfast will be held at the Novi campus from 8 - 10 a.m. Tickets are $15 for Walsh students, $30 for Walsh alumni and partners, and $60 for all others. Tickets are free for Leadership Center members, and a special family business rate will be available for multiple family members. Register here.
