New Raider News Email Series
Welcome to the University of Mount Union. We are excited to have you as a new student on campus this August! At Mount, you'll find a community that offers nonstop activity and opportunities to get involved. And best of all, it's a place that feels like home.
Graduation Gift Ideas
Congratulations, future Raiders! The time is nearing for you to bid farewell to your high school days and to say hello to life as a college student. Are your family and friends wondering what's on your graduation wish list? Here are a few ideas for college-life necessities (we'll provide a checklist for residence hall essentials later this summer):

  • UMU hoodie: A hoodie is always a great option for football games and tailgates, late nights studying in the library and relaxing in your residence hall.
  • Purple Plu$ CreditMoney on your Purple Plu$ can buy you that UMU hoodie at the University Store, delicious blueberry muffins at the KHIC Start Café or dinner at numerous restaurants off-campus that accept your Purple Plu$ (like Panera and Jimmy John's!).
  • Rainboots: Rainboots are nice to have during those spring and fall showers that keep our campus so fresh and green. Keep an eye out for a pair with some purple!
  • Wall calendar: It's nice to have a calendar in your residence hall or apartment to keep track of your exams, student organization meetings, and more!
  • Memo board: While you're making countless, new memories at your home away from home, you'll also want to see reminders of family and old friends.

Get ready for the experience of a lifetime. You're going to love life as a Raider!

"I've lived in Alliance my whole life. I knew I wanted to stay close to home when I started colleges, and I realized that Mount Union was the perfect fit for me. The academics are strong and there is plenty to get involved in on campus. Not to mention, the campus is amazing."

"I consider home to be the place you think of when you're currently not at that place, and every time I am not at Mount, I am constantly thinking
about it."
