EMMY NOMINATED
BRAVE MISS WORLD
NOW AVAILABLE!

"Brave Miss World, Cecilia Peck's intimate
documentary portrait...
celebrates Abargil
as an impassioned and inspiring advocate...
"
- Sheri Linden, Chicago Tribune

BRAVE MISS WORLD In 1998, eighteen-year-old Linor Abargil was stabbed and sexually assaulted while working as a model in Milan. Weeks after this traumatic experience, she was crowned Israel's first Miss World. Over the course of five years, director Cecilia Peck (SHUT UP & SING) follows Abargil, on a mission to confront the trauma of her past. Abargil, a magnetic and supremely empathic advocate travels from Hollywood to rape crisis centers, to American college campuses, and as far as the townships of South Africa to share her story and inspire others in their journey of healing. Emmy nominated BRAVE MISS WORLD is a call for justice and startingly honest portrayal of how personal tragedy can be transformed into strength that inspires global awareness in the fight against sexual violence.
