BCTV joins Brattleboro School Without Walls
Our summer camp is full, but now there are even more ways for youth to use BCTV to develop media skills. BCTV has become a partner in Brattleboro School Without Walls (or bsw2), a program of Oak Meadow starting this September in which high school students can earn credit for experience with a partner organization such as BCTV, the Brattleboro School of Dance, NEYT and many others. To learn more, go to bsw2.org.

Farewell to Harald Holm
We recently learned that BCTV's long time Program Coordinator, Harold Holm, died peacefully at his home in the Bradley House on Sunday, May 8. Harald came to BCTV in 2001 as a volunteer. He was hired by then executive director Chaia Mide as Graphics Coordinator, where his attention to detail, graphic sensibility and technological facility was recognized with a national award for the bulletin board in 2002. In 2006, Harald took over the complex systems required to schedule our channels before the days of the broadcast server, taking on the title of Program Coordinator, which he kept until he retired in 2010. While the rest of the staff were often out on site for a broadcast, it was Harald who stayed at the office and made sure that everything worked as it should to get the program on air, on time, looking and sounding as good as possible. He was the backbone of the organization through years when BCTV was not known for its stability or reliability. We honor him and will miss knowing that he's in the world.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21 at All Soul's Church in Brattleboro. The time has not yet been confirmed. We will post it on our Facebook page.
