Vinyl Fetish: Pop Obscure Records Now Open on Los Angeles Street
Pop Obscure Records opened at 735 S Los Angeles St. with approximately 10,000 new and used vinyl albums to shop and browse. The 2,500-square-foot store offers everything from '60s jazz and rock to electronic dance music and movie soundtracks. According to the LA Downtown News, the family originally wanted to open the store in Seattle but decided on Downtown LA, where they used to live, because they wanted to return to the area. Nice Kicks Opens at 9th and Main
After a months-long wait, streetwear and sneaker retailer, Nice Kicks is finally open at 9th and Main. Nice Kicks DTLA hosted a grand opening preview party earlier this month with select guests from within the footwear, apparel, entertainment, and sports industry. Vintage Pop-Up, A Current Affair Returns to Cooper Design Space on Sept. 24 & 25

The best vintage retailers and private dealers will convene under one roof on September 24 & 25 for A Current Affair. The pop-up vintage marketplace will feature over 60 vendors from across the globe. AIDS Walk Los Angeles Street Closures
The 2016 AIDS Walk Los Angeles is coming to Downtown Los Angeles for the first time. The fundraising event will take place on October 23, 2016. The course will start at Grand Park. You can sign up to participate in the walk at la.aidswalk.net.

AIDS Walk is also looking for sponsors. Since its inception in 1985, the event has raised more than $82 million for APLA Health and dozens of other L.A. County AIDS service organizations. For more information, click here.

Street closures will begin on October 22nd at 6 a.m. Impacted streets in the Fashion District will include
  • Spring, Third to Main from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on 10/23
  • Main, Spring/9th to Venice, from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on 10/23

Sample Sale Friday
Sample sales are held on the last Friday of every month and take place in the designer showrooms on 9th and Los Angeles Streets. Sample sale hours are typically 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click here for more info.
