Greetings!
Looking for something fun and educational for your child to do this summer? Check out New River Stage's summer camp! Explore the fundamentals of acting through scene work, story development, exercises and games. With guidance from Jeff McCoy, Director of Theatre Arts at Pulaski County High School, the students will be learning the basics of theater while rehearsing a play which they will then showcase in a performance of Fractured Fairy Tales at the end of the week.

1st - 4th Grade
Classes will take place at the Blacksburg Meeting House on 404 Mt. Tabor Rd the week of July 9-13, 2012.
The performance of Fractured Fairy Tales will take place at the Lyric at 11 AM on Saturday, July 14, 2012.

5th - 8th Grade
Classes will take place at the Blacksburg Meeting House on 404 Mt. Tabor Rd the week of July 16-20, 2012.
The performance of Fractured Fairy Tales will take place at the Lyric at 11 AM on Saturday, July 21, 2012.

9th Grade - newly graduated
Classes will take place at the Blacksburg Meeting House on 404 Mt. Tabor Rd the week of July 23-27, 2012.
The performance will take place at 130 Jackson at 11 AM on Saturday, July 28, 2012.
This camp will run a little different from the younger camps. We will be taking music from other shows (or popular songs) and developing a show around them (the abandoned theatre and pulling out props to bring the songs and scenes to life). The focus will be to develop their voices for singing and develop characters for scenes.
