The retreat will be held December 2-6 and is aimed at postdocs and independent investigators who are actively working on professional writing projects such as manuscripts, grant proposals, applications, and research/teaching/personal statements.  It will include a mix of formal sessions and less structured, individual writing time.  The goal is for participants to make significant progress on their writing projects while improving their written communication skills.

We would appreciate your help in announcing the retreat to anyone who might benefit from it.  The application deadline is technically tomorrow but we'll consider any applications that are submitted by first thing Monday morning (October 19th ).  Application instructions, including links to online forms, are described in the above Web page.  I'm happy to field any questions, and potential applicants can contact me directly to express their interest in applying. 

Thanks very much for your help!  The retreat is being supported by an NIH IPERT grant we were awarded this summer, so we've had the application system open for only about a month now.
