If commitment and passion are integral elements to successfully actualizing a vision, then the crusade to exponentially shrink poverty in Calgary looks most promising.

Death midwife seeks to reclaim death as relational, 'soul' experience

Death midwife and ceremonialist Sarah Kerr has been receiving so many calls from people captivated by her work that she's launching a holistic death network for Calgary and area.

Though some are hesitant to admit it, people are feeling drawn to use their gifts to help create a more meaningful experience for a dying person and his/her loved ones and community.  Read more...

New Scoop has been a champion of the Calgary Poverty Reduction Initiative.  We are thrilled to see the energy and learning from that project being shared in the context of faith.  The University of Calgary's  Chair of Christian Thought is hosting a panel on addressing poverty in Calgary as part of the Iwaasa lectures on Urban Theology.  Read more...
