Easter weekend was a great success. We got a lot of
good feedback. People were encouraged by the Good Friday communion service and my interview with Chuck Draxler for the Easter Services.

People also liked getting the free book! We gave away 300 copies and ran out after the last service. Click the links to listen to the messages from Good Friday and Easter.

Consider Passing "Starting Over" onto a Friend. When you are finished reading, Starting Over, I hope you will consider passing it onto a friend. If you can't think of anyone, I'd be happy to give it to someone at Arbor Place Treatment Center. The message of God's forgiveness is always popular there.

Send-off Sunday for Pastor Sten and Erica. Sunday, April 30th, is Pastor Sten's last Sunday with us. May 1st is his official first day as a "church planter," that elite group of risk-takers who believe God will do the seemingly impossible!

I will take the entire sermon time on April 30th to interview Sten and Erica, as well as some of the people joining them to start a new church in Hudson, WI. Consider giving them a card to wish them well.

The Bible's Big Story Sermon Series: One of the goals of our 2020 Vision is to "Elevate Grow" at Cedarbrook. The first step will be to encourage us to start reading the Bible.

In this coming series, I'll be giving us an overview of the entire Bible to help us get the big picture. I'll also be introducing you to a variety of resources to help you engage with the Bible. Don't miss the opening message this Sunday!

p.s. We now have job descriptions available for four staff positions: youth director, office manager, ministry assistant, marketing assistant. They should be posted soon on the website.

First Steps...
If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

December 8th - 16th

living water international
Want to serve with Living Water International in HONDURAS this December 8 - 16th?!?

  • Lloyd & Julie Stunkel will be leading a team of 16 people who are interested in drilling a well, teaching children, building relationships with the local men and women and performing maintenance on previously drilled wells.
  • Applications will be available at the Info Desk this Sunday, or if you would like one emailed, please contact [email protected].
  • Application deadline is May 1st.
  • Team members will need a passport that is valid through 6/17/2018. The cost of the trip is $2000. Don't let that discourage you from applying! We will discuss ways this money will be raised at our first meeting.
We are already praying for God to put this team together! If you feel the nudge, please apply!

If this time frame isn't the best for you, Pastor Kyle will be leading 16 more to Honduras March 10 - 17, 2018. Applications for that trip will be released mid-summer.

Cedarbrook Circles this Spring
We're better in circles than rows!

Spring Circles are underway, you can check them out on the Cedarbrook website.

"Circles" are smaller gatherings of people, who meet for a limited time, around a hobby, book, section of the Bible, Sunday's sermon, or just a topic in life that will help you to take the next step. We launch them three times a year to give you an easy entry point to get to know other people and deepen your faith.

Email Lisa Diederich with any questions.
