NOW ON GUAM:
National Craft Assessment & Certification Program
|The GCA Trades Academy is proud to implement the National Craft Assessment & Certifcation Program on Guam. As an NCCER-accredited assessment center, the GCA Trades Academy is conducting computer-based knowledge assessments and performance verification for a wide range of construction-related trades. NCCER offers a complete series of journey-level assessments, including electrical, HVAC, heavy equipment operations, carpentry, electronic systems technician, instrumentation technician, and others. All assessments are based upon the Conten Leaning Series curriculum and have been developed with Prov, NCCER's test development partner.
NCCER requires participants have at least four years of prior experience in the craft being assessed. Successful completion of the assessment will result in nationally-recognized certification. For those who do not pass the assessment, a recommendation for specific training courses is provided. This assessment program can be a powerful tool to determine skill gaps in your workforce, provide nationally-recognized credentials, and make your employees (and company) more competitive.
For a limited time, the assessments are being offered at no cost (we have a federal grant) other than the partiipant's time.
