The MiraCosta College tutoring program provides academic assistance free of charge if you are enrolled in either day or evening credit classes. Help is available in about 130 courses. 


Online Tutoring available in Summer.  Writing Center and Math Learning Center available IN-PERSON.  Learn how to use personal support here.

 

Have You Received Your I-20 and F-1 Visa?
F-1visa To receive your SEVIS I-20, please make sure to complete your Intent to Enroll form as soon as you receive the admissions to begin your study at MiraCosta for fall 2015. 

To start your F-1 application process, you should make an appointment with the U.S. Embassy in your country for a visa interview. Check our website for details about the visa application process

Almost ready for fall registration!  If you want to register for fall classes EARLY and get the schedule you want, visit the International Office find out how to achieve a June 30 enrollment date for fall classes.

R- Complete an Registration form and receive your SURF student ID

E - Take English and Math placement tests at MiraCosta College

A - Meet with Academic counselor at the International Office

D - Don't wait to complete the online orientation and advisement 

Y - You are ready to enroll and pay for your classes via SURF
 

 Important Dates:

  • First Day for New Students to Enroll in fall classes: June 30, 2015 if you have completed the READY steps listed above
  • New Student Orientation: August 12 & 13

Have You Found Housing Yet?

housingCheck out the  housing section  on our website for information about finding a place to live near MiraCosta College. You need to arrange for airport pick up and immediate housing for your arrival.  MiraCosta College recommends you consider a Homestay Service that can assist you on your arrival.  You can start looking for apartments and roommates after you arrive and learn more about our area.  

Don't Miss it--Meeting New International Students During the Orientation!
Beach 1 The mandatory New International Student Orientation is scheduled for August 12 & 13. All new students are required to attend the orientation. This is a great opportunity for you to meet other international students, MiraCosta College faculty and staff.  Important information on academic success, health insurance, many F-1 student topics will be discussed during orientation.  Please make sure to arrange your travel accordingly. We look for to seeing you there!
