The Endless Feast is a grassroots endeavor to bring people together to support efforts to end childhood hunger in Lenawee County. Limited seating is available for the event, featuring locally sourced foods prepared by Chef Alan Merhar from Evans Street Station in an outdoor waterfront setting at Tecumseh's Globe Mill Pond. Showcasing local food and drink, we will enjoy a bountiful five course dinner paired with wine and beer at a long communal table along the water.

We expect it to be a spectacular night!

 

As we're sure you are aware, there are many honorable programs that exist to help kids in our area with access to food. The evening will benefit organizations in Lenawee County who currently support food initiatives in an effort to help them expand the reach of their kids' food programs and removing the burden of fundraising for those initiatives from their plate - allowing them to focus on their core missions!

 

During this inaugural year, we plan to support:

Communities in Schools of the Tecumseh Area (CISTA)

Families in Transition

RECIPE:
 
Michigan Maple Glazed Grilled Peaches
with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Macerated Blueberries and Lemon

 
Serves 4

 

2 ea                       peaches (cut in half and pitted)

½ cup                    Michigan maple syrup

2 pints                   blueberries

1 tsp                      lemon zest

1 tsp                      cinnamon

4 scoops               vanilla ice cream

 

  1. Mix half the maple syrup, blueberries, and lemon zest and allow to sit overnight.

  2. On a hot grill, grill the peach halves flesh side down until caramelized.

  3. Flip them over and brush with maple syrup and cinnamon.

  4. Pull from the grill and top with macerated berries and ice cream
