WELCOME AEC OFFICE OF EDUCATION SUPERINTENDENT  JOHN ALBERTY



In October, the Allegheny East Conference held the Second AEC Quinquennial Constituency Meeting.  During the meeting, delegates elected John Alberty to the position of Superintendent of the AEC Office of Education.  Welcome Mr. Alberty.


Pine Forge Academy extends heartfelt gratitude to Mrs. Judy Dent for her compassion, sage wisdom, professional expertise, systems-thinking and student-driven leadership as an ardent support of SDA Christian education and in her work as AEC Superintendent. 

She has left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of the students, teachers, leaders and families of the Academy. Thank you for your leadership. You have inspired many young girls and women - to achieve godly professional success while modeling gracious womanhood. You have served as a passionate educator - donating your time, talents and treasure to support and uplift our youth. We love and appreciate you. 

We look forward to advancing our educational mission, building on your foundation and carrying forth a legacy of excellence under the leadership of Superintendent John Alberty. Blessings Mrs. Dent! Congratulations Mr. Alberty.

NPFAAA DONATION SPOTLIGHT
Kimbrough and Handy Halls Renovation Update


The Academy is thankful to NPFAAA's #ReIgnite70 Campaign donors for their generosity.    Funding from the campaign was used to make improvements in both dorms.  

Kimbrough Hall has a newly renovated computer room, exercise room and hair salon.   Handy Hall has a new recreation room that includes game tables, large screen televisions and seating.  Renovated spaces in both dorms were repainted and installed with new flooring.
ACADEMY  REMEMBRANCE


Mrs. Ruth (Winston) Watson, former first lady of Pine Forge Institute, was married to Mr. Ercell I. Watson who is remembered as the third and longest serving (1951-1961) Principal of the Institute.  Sadly, Mrs. Watson passed away last month at her home in Auburn, California at the age of 93.  She was the youngest and last surviving of 12 children from the Cora (Hayes) and Pastor William Henry Winston family. Mrs. Watson is survived by four children - Lloyd (Class of '63), Ersula (Class of '65), Marquita, and Mark.  Mrs. Watson is also the grandmother of Corae Baker, who is married to Academy Technology teacher, Elita Baker.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION!

The Academy Choir and Basketball Team participated in the three-day BOL event at Oakwood,  November 3 -5, 2017. 




PARENTS' WEEKEND FALL 2017

Parents' Weekend is an annual opportunity for parents to confer with Academy teachers and staff, see first-hand renovations, experience the Choir and Creative Arts performances, participate in Senior Presentation, receive scholarships from the PFA Foundation and so much more.  See more pictures from Parents' Weekend on the Academy Facebook page here .
