RARE DCC ITEMS FOR SALE - IN AUSTRALIA!
And they're for sale!

Several years ago, Goodman Games ran an epic Kickstarter for the 4th printing of  DCC RPG . The core books funded by that Kickstarter had several unique traits, including thumb tabs and gilded edges. Those editions were only available through Kickstarter pledges and are long since sold out…or so we thought.

When we were shipping out the  Dungeon Crawl Classics 4th Printing Kickstarter , Goodman Games worked with a fulfillment partner called The Games Capital to fulfill orders Down Under. The Games Capital recently found some leftover stock from that Kickstarter, and you are the beneficiary. This means some of the rare Kickstarter editions are now for sale, complete with all the stretch goals—as long as you’re willing to order from an Australian retailer!
ISLE OF DREAD: THE CHRIS DOYLE INTERVIEW!
Some insight on the upcoming release!

At Gen Con this year, Goodman Games announced our next release in the  Original Adventures Reincarnated  series:  The Isle of Dread ! This iconic wilderness adventure is one of the most popular  D&D  adventures ever released. For an entire generation of gamers it served as a tutorial on wilderness adventure design, and successfully demonstrated how the pulp genre roots of Appendix N could be adapted to fantasy adventure design. The  Original Adventures Reincarnated  line is officially authorized by Wizards of the Coast to re-publish the original 1E edition of the adventure, while also converting it to the 5E rules set.

Chris Doyle is the lead designer on  OAR2: The Isle of Dread . He has spent the first part of 2018 converting the adventure to 5E. His work is already known to many fans, from his lead role on  OAR1: Into the Borderlands . Shortly after Gen Con, we took some time to speak with Chris about  The Isle of Dread .
ROADWORTHY ADVENTURES!
ADVENTURES IN FICTION:
JACK VANCE!
The master of The Dying Earth!

Jack Holbrook Vance was summoned into this world just over a century ago in San Francisco on August 28, 1916. A writer of multiple genres, he is best known to fans of  Dungeons and Dragons  for his Dying Earth novels, one of the inspirations for the magic system, often called ‘Vancian’, in which magic-users memorize spells from their librams, and once cast, forget them for the day. Magic users in  D&D  also have a limited number of spell ‘slots,’ a nod to the incantations of the dying earth being so complex and mind-bending, like mosaics of mathematical formula, that even an advanced practitioner could only hold half a dozen in their mind ready to cast or risk going insane.

Several of the spells and magic items found in the game were also were inspired from Jack Vance’s works: The Excellent Prismatic Spray, Imprisonment, and Evard’s Black Tentacles spells; the Robe of Eyes and Ioun Stones, the latter being stones harvested from the core of neutron stars that are being sliced away by the Nothing at the edge of the universe and are therefore rare and difficult to obtain. Gary Gygax also cited Vance’s influence on the thief class, with the amoral and picaresque Cugel the Clever being as much as an inspiration as Roger Zelazny’s Shadowjack...
ROADWORTHY: JUDGE SGT DAVE!
Over the top, in all the right ways!

Welcome to Roadworthy! This is a chance to show off a Road Crew Judge and allow them to share their experience and wisdom. We provide these profiles to help provide insight into their personality and style, and maybe give up-and-coming Judges some advice on improving their game.

The man we present today isn't just a Judge, he's a working man! A Sergeant! And he also sort of puts the "Strange" back into "strange new worlds." We present to you the man with two titles: Judge SGT Dave!
