Happy New Year!
If you plan to put on your party hat and raise a toast on New Year's Eve, consider one of our many neighborhood establishments. Stay safe and stay local here in our easily walkable community. Many offer New Year's Eve specials. Here are a few:
Backstage Bar: 17007 Lorain Avenue. Dress-up and enjoy a champagne toast at midnight. No cover charge.

West Park Pizza Bake-Off Set for January 23
 Who makes the best pizza in West Park? Cast your vote at the 3rd Annual West Park Pizza Bake-Off on Monday, January 23, at
St. Pat's gym, 4427 Rocky River Drive, from 5 to 8 p.m. Adult tickets are only $10 for all-you-can-eat pizza and a drink. For kids ages 6 to 12, tickets are $5. There is no charge for children 5 years old or younger.
A raffle will take place for an LG 49" LED Smart 4K Ultra High Definition TV. Only 500 tickets will be sold at $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Tickets will be available after January 1 at participating pizza shops, and after each weekend Mass at St. Pat's, and in the church rectory during normal office hours.

Sister Rita Petruziello of the Congregation of St. Joseph and retired director of River's Edge is organizing a gathering to celebrate unity on a grand scale, ahead of the presidential inauguration. West Park Fashion Club starts in January at the West Park Branch of the Cleveland Public Library , 3805 West 157th Street, where boys and girls ages 8 and older stitch and sew their own creations. Neighborhood Connections may be able to help your community group! It is a small grants program designed to assist Cleveland neighborhood groups to strengthen the social network in their communities. Grants range from $500 to $5,000. Any resident-led or community group is eligible to apply, including those that aren't recognized as 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. The next deadline to apply is 5 p.m. on Friday, February 10. For application information, click here.
