Upcoming events and other information

Glen Abbey open house

Join us at Town Hall on January 10 to learn about the Conservation Plan, the draft Cultural Heritage Landscape Conservation Plan By-law and proposed Official Plan and zoning by-law amendments. You'll also have an opportunity to provide feedback and have one-on-one discussions with staff. Drop-in sessions take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Hydro line clearing starting soon

This month, the town and its tree service contractor begin hydro line clearing in east Oakville, on behalf of Oakville Hydro. Trees are pruned following Electrical Safety Authority guidelines to maintain a three-metre clearance between branches and primary power lines. This ensures public safety and reduces the risk of power outages or hazardous situations. Join us at our open house at Town Hall on Tuesday, January 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. for more information on Hydro Line Clearing and our EAB Management program.

Home to Hub transit news

Oakville Transit's on-request Home to Hub service is now available in the north Oakville communities of Seven Oaks, East Preserve, Trafalgar Landing, Oak Village and Shieldbay. With Home to Hub, customers can get picked up at the end of their driveway to get to and from the Uptown Core Terminal where they can connect with conventional transit service.
