BizBash-North America's #1 source of ideas, news, and resources for event and meeting professionals-named the New York Auto Show the "Best Consumer Trade Show" at its annual Event Style Awards program last month.
The Auto Show beat out hundreds of other applicants vying for the title. The coveted award recognizes NYIAS for embracing digital and traditional mediums, which garnered 1.7 billion social media impressions and 3.22 billion traditional media impressions during the 2016 Show.
"With hundreds of media outlets based in New York City, the New York Auto Show has always put a strong emphasis on traditional media coverage," said chairman John LaSorsa. "And over the last five years, we've been working hard to ensure that our social media outreach matches our traditional media. It's rewarding to see those efforts paying off, and we couldn't be happier with this award."
Designed to honor the best ideas, strategies, products, and venues in North America, the 2016 BizBash Event Style Awards were announced at BizBash Live at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Nov. 15. NYIAS was honored for its innovation, quality of execution, effectiveness, and overall influential impact on the event industry.
