New York Cigar Voters --- Say No To Premium Cigar Tax Increase By Governor Cuomo

Recently,  Governor Andrew Cuomo proposed his 2018-2019 budget (AB 9509 & SB 9509), and calls for the elimination of the "industry standard adjustment ratio" on premium cigars.  Eliminating the "industry standard adjustment ratio" will result in the rate of taxation on premium cigars being rolled back to the pre-2013 level of 75 percent.  Because of the ratio, the current rate of tax levied is 28.5 percent.

Contact your representatives in the New York General Assembly and State Senate and ask that they defeat Governor Cuomo's proposal. Click here for contact information in the General Assembly and here for the State Senate.
