From the Dean's Desk

I am really excited to be able to offer this fall's learning event. This year, in the Conference, sacred conversations on race have been happening: at the Conference Board meeting in April and at the Annual Meeting in June. I've heard from a variety of folks that they want to be having these conversations in their own congregations, but they aren't sure how to begin.  Dominique Chantell Atchison and Tim Meyer have been planning a learning event for us, which will allow us to participate in sacred conversation and receive training on how to lead such conversations in our churches --  small or large, multi-racial or not, urban or rural or suburban. As Dominique has reminded me, "everybody has a race," and there's much to talk about.

I do hope that you'll spread the word about this important learning event and think about joining us.

With blessings,
Marjorie
