New Events Contest
Application Deadline: November 4
Due to the success of last year's events Weather the Fort and Art Crawl, The Downtown Improvement District is bringing back a contest which invites businesses, organizations, and individuals to submit their best ideas for events in February, March, or April 2017 for a chance to receive production support.

New five-story building highlights
revised plans for restored 'Landing'
Updated plans for the renovation of an historic downtown block show a five-story commercial and residential building on a site currently occupied by an office building.

Halloween Masquerade Ball
Main Street Bistro
The event will feature special Halloween decor throughout Main Street Bistro and the lobby area! Tickets are $15/person or $20/couple. A portion of all proceeds will benefit the Fort Wayne Boys & Girls Foundation. This event is limited to 300 tickets available via Eventbrite.

General Electric has narrowed the field of those submitting proposals for its former Fort Wayne campus to one player, a company spokesman confirmed.

A new office space in the heart of Downtown opened but it is unlike any other space in the Summit City. It's called Atrium and entrepreneurs can sign up for a monthly membership, starting at $50, to get access to the 5,500 square-foot space.

Shopping Downtown
Park, shop, and ride our free trollies for an exciting shopping experience in Downtown Fort Wayne! The trollies will visit several unique venues stopping at each on their route. Come out early; the first 200 riders will receive a keepsake Holly Trolley gift tote!

New Exhibit: Corrugated
Artlink Gallery
Enjoy this invitational exhibit that calls artists to create one piece of artwork from corrugated material. This exhibit is in collaboration with Kelly Box and the University of Saint Francis School of Creative Arts.

"Wizard Of Oz" Event

The USF School of Creative Arts is offering a meet-and-greet ahead of the premiere of their production of "The Wizard of Oz." USF will present the musical adventure from November 4 through November 13 at the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center at USF.

Every Friday from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Yin yoga is a gentle, meditative practice that moves deep into connective tissue using seated, supine, and prone postures held for longer periods of time.

The Fort Wayne Fear Factory is the newest haunt attraction to come to Downtown Fort Wayne at the River City Complex, one of the city's oldest industrial centers. The building was originally Wayne Oil Tank & Pump Company opened in 1910 near the historic Tecumseh Street bridge by the Lakeside neighborhood.
The Fear Factory will be open for Halloween Weekend, Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29 from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m., and Sunday, October 30 and Monday, October 31 from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. They will wrap up the Halloween Haunting Season the next weekend on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 from 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.
