SCENE STUDY- Ongoing (Intermediate/Advanced)#
Mondays, Oct 1-Dec 10, 6:30-9:30 pm
Sign up for October - December to work two+ partnered scenes, a monologue and at least one Hagen exercise PLUS in December, Amanda will TAPE one of your completed scenes so that you can use it in your demo reel. Must be in all three monthgs to get the taping. Plus, save oevr 10% if you pay tuition for all three months ($415). ($185 Oct and Nov. Dec is $92.50).

Oct 13: Where Am I? Bringing environment to your auditions.
Oct 20: Tackling the dual Spokesperson commercial. Talking to the camera AND to a scene partner.
Oct 27: Finding the funny in your sitcom audition. Understanding the writing enhances the performance.
Nov 3: My read comes in a rainbow of colors. Adding color to your voice over commercial audition.

The workshop will start with a Meisner warm up exercise, followed by one-liner auditions. Karen will teach students to unlock their imagination,
stay flexible so that they don't get stuck in one way of performing copy. Finally, students will work on multiple person scenes. Limited spots.
Ages 13-18: 9 am - 12:30 pm. Parents may re-join the class at 12 pm for the Q&A session.
Ages 8-13: 1:30-5 pm. Parents may re-join the class at 4:30 pm for the Q&A session.

The weekday classes cover the full range of the business from Auditions to Voice Over and everything in-between. New scripts every year. If you have an agent, you should be in class keeping your skills fresh. If you don't yet have an agent, but wish to take that next step, these are the classes for you!

Film:
TYNECKIA LEWIS was cast in an IFP Breakout Film short film. TYNECKIA LEWIS played the security guard in the short "The Many." ZOE YEOMAN directed it. "Soulless" starring KELLY NICOLE plays at the Jerome Film Festival Sept 29. "Eleven, Eleven" (CHRIS REDISH, JENNIFER PFALZGRAFF) has started its film festival run!
TV: DRU MOUSER was a co-star on the season opener of "Grey's Anatomy." DRU taped her audition for this role at Verve! BELLA TINDALL was in the "Manson Files" on FOX!
Theatre:
GENE GANSSLE plays Santa in Elf at Phoenix Theatre. WILL HIGHTOWER was in "Antipodes" at Stray Cat Theatre. TYNECKIA LEWIS was cast in "Something Wicked This Way Comes" as Jim's mom. HAMPTON KOHLER was cast in "All in the Timing" at PCDS. ILANA SHERMAN is in "Butterfly's Day" at Desert Stages. SOPHIA VANELLA was in Jesus Christ Superstar at Fountain Hills Theatre. ASHLEY FAULKNER plays Izzy in "Rabbit Hole" at Theatre Artists Studio; it opened Sept 28.
CARIN COUNIHAN was is Mrs. Michaelis/Dancer in "The Great Gatsby" at Stage Left Productions. FRED GERLE was cast in Titanic The Musical and Miracle on 34th Street at Arizona Broadway Theatre. SHELLY BOUCHER plays Peaches in "Red Velvet Cake War" at TheaterWorks. SAM ROBERTS is in "Cash on Delivery" at DMHS. ROBERT PETERS and MIKE HALPING are in "The Bad Seed" at Desert Stages; DIANE SENFFNER directs. It opens Oct 19 and runs through Nov 18.

CHLOE ROZALSKY and ERICA PARRISH won in their categories!
JUDITH EISENBERG got a commercial agent in LA. CHANCE KELLER signed with a manager in LA. CANDICE LUNCEFORD signed with Ford/RBA. ANDRE JOHNSON signed with Leighton Agency.
