New year, new name
The Metro District's Senior Outreach and 50 & Better Together programs have combined offerings and formed the new Active Adult Programs & Services. Information and referrals to services will continue, as will lifelong learning opportunities and community events. Lunch Bunch and monthly evening activities will also continue.

Watch for new active programming in 2018. Being an active adult simply means including activity in your daily routine. This could be any combination of educational, physical,  social or recreational activities. Active living brings you better health, a sense of well-being and allows you to live well and age well. AAPS is here to help you achieve these goals.

Visit highlandsranch.org/aaps  for information about upcoming programs.

Benefits of chocolate
Many enjoy giving and/or receiving chocolate on Valentine's Day and it's a good thing because there are many heart healthy benefits of chocolate. According to an article from the Cleveland Clinic, eating chocolate can benefit your cardiovascular system and chocolate's antioxidant-like power helps combat effects on our body from environmental pollution such as cigarette smoke.
