THIS WEEKEND
Burundi Friends International Fundraising Campaign Ends June 30
As many of you know, in 2007, a mustard seed was planted at the Newman Center at UCSD called, Burundi Friends International (BFI). That seed has grown into a magnificent tree serving youth, women and men all across Burundi. BFI now serves more students than the student population of UCSD! BFI is asking for financial support at this time due to a dollar to dollar match of up to $125,000. This match ends June 30. Help them make their goal by donating online at bufri.org. Volunteers are also needed!
Youth Emergency Shelter
Sign-up to provide a dish or help serve dinner to homeless teens on Sunday, July 1, at 7:00pm at the Youth Emergency Shelter in Hillcrest. To sign-up or for more info email Cindy.
CCSA's Back-To-School Drive
The Good Sam’s annual collection of school supplies for CCSA’s 2018 Back to School Backpack Program begins Sunday, July 1. CCSA assists low-income children with backpacks and essential school supplies. There will be a large box in the vestibule labeled “CCSA Back to School Backpack Program”. Learn more on what is needed.
Help Stock the Food Pantry
This month's item for the food pantry at the Community Christian Service Agency (CCSA) is canned spaghetti sauce. You can place items in the CCSA basket at the entrance of the church on Sundays.
