If we've sold out before you get a chance, don't despair. The signing will open up to all later on in the evening, after ticket holders get their books signed. Everyone who wants will get their book signed, David promises!

news2Man on Wire, Bag of Forks?

So, what is this big bag of forks for?

Philippe Petit, famed "Man on Wire" and rule breaker, will be here discussing his new book on creativity, and we're told there will be some sort of audience participation involving lots and lots of plastic forks. Curious? Tickets are $5 and he'll be at the Brattle Theatre on Monday at 6pm.

Tickets are also on sale for Timothy Geithner, whose book hit the shelves this week.

news3An Online Retailer Flexes Its Muscles

Some of you may have followed the latest shenanigans from a certain Internet retailer's "secret campaign to discourage customers from buying books by Hachette, one of the big New York publishers," as they are "delaying shipments 'for reasons of their own.'" Books affected include The Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell and Franny and Zooey by J. D. Salinger. Many more writers and readers are being affected as well.

But come on in to Harvard Book Store and one of our booksellers will happily hand you a copy of The Outliers from the Psychology shelf or from our wall of 20% off Best Sellers. Order a copy of Franny and Zooey on harvard.com, and we'll put it in a box and send it to you.

No shenanigans!

Lastly this week, Harvard Book Store now has an iPhone app! The AisleConnect Scavenger Hunt has been extended for another two weeks, so come on by and give it a try.

Thanks for reading,
Alex
