We are collecting items for the Schaumburg Food Pantry.  
The pantry provides assistance to those in need within Schaumburg Township. Pantry shelves empty quickly assisting 600+ families each month. Items needed now are:
  • Boxed pasta
  • Canned meats
  • Canned pasta
  • Chunky/Progresso Soups
  • Ketchup/Mustard/Mayo
  • Canned Peas
  • Canned Pineapple  Oil/Salt/Sugar
  • Dressing
  • Tomato products
  • Paper products
  • Hygiene products
May 20th is Pentecost Sunday. Please join us as we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and share in the celebration of Confirmation and Holy Baptism. Wear RED for this celebration. And, if you still have the red stole Pastor Julie gave you last year, please wear it as well. Additional red stoles will be provided for those who do not have one. 
Wednesday, May 23rd @ 6 pm is the next Feed My Starving Children event.

Dates for the SOUTH DAKOTA MISSION TRIP are Saturday, June 23 to Saturday, June 30. 

Sisseton Scholarships are available for individuals who are interested in going on the mission trip to Sisseton, SD, but may need some financial help. 
See Jim Vakoc or Pastor Julie if you are interested. 

This is the sixth year in a row that Church of the Cross has participated in this Presbyterian led outreach to Native Americans on the Sisseton reservation. Volunteers are needed for: Vacation Bible School teachers and assistants, construction and repair work on reservation churches, cook team and work teams. See Stu Truelsen or Jim Vakoc for details.
