George Gittoes
Gittoes is described simultaneously as a figurative painter, a modernist, a postmodernist, a social realist, a pop artist and an expressionist. His work was featured this year in DOCUMENTA 13 with Love City, and in the spring of 2013 James Harithas publishes a new essay and catalog about Gittoes and his far reaching interests.
George Gittoes is included in the group exhibition The Art of Exaggeration at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, on view through September 23, 2012.
