But Moses led the people out of the camp to meet God,
and they stationed themselves at the foot of the mountain.
Mount Sinai was all wrapped in smoke, for the Lord came down upon
it in fire. The smoke rose from it as though from a furnace, and the
whole mountain trembled violently. The trumpet blast grew louder and
louder, while Moses was speaking and God answering him with thunder.
Exodus 19:17-19

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Your children have done an excellent job in transitioning into the new school year. Thank you for all of your cooperation and support. You're awesome!

Please allow me to share our immense appreciation for the trust and confidence that you place in us, the administrators, teachers and support staff, by choosing to enroll and continue enrollment at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic School. We love your children and are grateful for the opportunity to provide this ministry of the Catholic Church to your family. We look forward to another outstanding year of faith, academics and extra-curricular activities.

On our first day, September 4th, our school met in the cafeteria to offer prayer and thanksgiving for the blessing of a new school year. Our wonderful student council led us in prayer. We were pleased to have so many parents, grandparents and visitors join us.

DIOCESAN THEME
The Diocesan Theme for 2018-2019 is, "Rejoice In The Lord Always." This theme reflects the episcopal motto of our Bishop, William Francis Malooly, "Rejoice In The Lord." It is fitting that we use this theme during our celebration of the 150th anniversary of the funding of the Diocese of Wilmington. In our year of reflecting on our rejoicing in the Lord, we will focus on the Ten Commandments - one each month - along with the following corresponding virtues:
September - Faithful
October - Thoughtful
November - Reverent
December - Respectful
January - Compassionate
February - Loyal
March - Honest
April - Truthful
May - Grateful

Our prayer for the year is the Divine Praises.
Blessed be God.
Blessed be His Holy Name.
Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true Man.
Blessed be the Name of Jesus.
Blessed be His Most Sacred Heart.
Blessed be His Most Precious Blood.
Blessed be Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete.
Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most Holy.
Blessed be her Holy and Immaculate Conception.
Blessed be her Glorious Assumption.
Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin and Mother.
Blessed be St. Joseph, her most chaste spouse.
Blessed be God in His Angels and in His Saints.

Our song for the year is "This Day Was Made by the Lord" by Christopher Walker.

We invite all families to join us in Rejoicing in the Lord.

RAINY DAY DISMISSAL
On days when it is raining heavily and/or there is lightning at dismissal time, we will follow a rainy day dismissal procedure. On those days, students will be dismissed from the fro n t doors of the school. Parents will line up in their vehicles in the regular pick-up line. Please wait until the  staff signals the cars to pull around to the front of the building where staff will call for the children to come out to their vehicle. We ask that parents make a sign (8.5" x 11") with the children's last names on the sign and place that sign on the right side of the vehicle's dash board.
