Creative Alliance Milwaukee Update

Sept. 26th, 2012

Greetings!

We're still glowing!

Creative Milwaukee at Work was a huge success. Thank you to those who attended and participated in the day's events and to our wonderful sponsors, presenters, committee members, and volunteers!

Read below to learn more about our partnership with the National Creativity Network on a national research project to measure and describe the creative industries, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts. We're seeking data and welcome your contributions to this important research project.

We're also pleased to announce that Lydia Eichner, our intern since May, has joined the Creative Alliance staff full-time as our Programming & Communications Assistant. Her contributions thus far have been invaluable and we're excited to have her join our team permanently.  We have several projects and initiatives on the horizon, many of which will be lead by Lydia, so look to hear more from her soon!

Don't forget to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for regular updates and news!

Enjoy!

Inaugural Creative Economy National Research Project Launched

The National Creativity Network and Creative Alliance Milwaukee have launched a national creative economy research project with funding from National Endowment for the Arts. The purpose of this research is to develop a national profile of how the creative economy is being defined, segmented and quantified across the nation. This leading edge research will assess if there can be a core national profile definition for the creative industry enterprises and jobs.

Have you measured the economic value of your creative economy? If so, you are invited to join us in a national research project designed to profile the creative economy in the United States.
