NEA Fast-Track Grant Opportunity: Webinar Today!

National Endowment for the Arts will present a grant guidelines webinar for Challenge America Fast-Track grants today, Wednesday, April 3 from 2:00-3:00 PM to help potential applicants navigate the application materials and process. The final application deadline is May 23, 2013.

The Challenge America Fast-Track (CAFT) category of funding supports primarily small and mid-sized organizations for projects that extend the reach of the arts to underserved populations-those whose opportunities to experience the arts are limited by geography, ethnicity, economics, or disability.

An archive of the webinar will be available on April 8th on the NEA's website. To join the webinar, click here to register.

Experience the Buzz of CoWorking Space!

Escape the coffeehouse, your home office or the dreaded cubical farm!  Hudson Business Lounge and Workplace, located at 310 N. Broadway in the Historic Third Ward, is one of the hippest, most happening offices in the area, precisely because it's not where you usually work nor business as usual.  It's a unique concept of coworking space-utilizing desk space, private offices, conference rooms, meeting space-in an office with a bunch of other people you likely don't know.

Envision yourself here - coworking at The Hudson Business Lounge and Workplace.

Shaking things up in where people work has proven to spark spontaneous collaborations, engender innovations and be one of the best ways to network and have fun all at the same time. The international trend of coworking spaces is not just for freelancers or the unemployed-major corporations are utilizing it as a way to foster innovation and talent search. The trend was featured in the March issue of FastCompany.

Now, in an exclusive collaboration with Hudson, members of Creative Alliance can enter to win a two-hour time block for use in any of Hudson's spaces normally reserved for their paying members - private office space, a fabulous conference room, chic meeting space. You choose how you want to use your time!  As an added bonus, Hudson is offering a 10% discount on all membership levels to the winning Creative Alliance member(s).

To enter, send your name and email address to:

info@creativealliancemke.org by 5:00 p.m. April 8. Winner(s) will be announced in the next Creative Alliance newsletter!
