1. RECOGNITION - 2018 Public Speaking Contest Winners

The Board of Trustees recognized Twin Rivers' 2017-2018 Public Speaking Contest winners. The four winners from grades five through eight, McKenna P. (5th), KateLynn R. (6th), Nathaniel G. (7th), and Amber M. (8th), represent the very best of our public speaking contestants district-wide.
2. RECOGNITION - Civic Learning Award: Rio Linda Preparatory Academy
The Board of Trustees recognized students and staff from Rio Linda Preparatory Academy for their ongoing efforts to develop the next generation of leaders through civic education. These efforts have resulted in the school being awarded the Civic Learning Award, which celebrates public schools' efforts to engage students in civic learning.
3. RECOGNITION - Middle School Winter League Champions
The Board of Trustees recognized Twin Rivers' middle school league champions for their outstanding accomplishments, athletic performance, and for proudly representing their schools and the Twin Rivers Unified School District throughout the winter season.
4. ACTION to APPROVE and PURCHASE - Lock Security Hardware for Schools
This action item was submitted to the Board of Trustees in support of school security and safety.
5. PRESENT - Update on the Revised 2018-2019 TRUSD Intradistrict Open Enrollment Process
In the fall of 2017, the Twin Rivers Unified School District revised the Intradistrict Open Enrollment Process for the 2018-2019 school year. An update on the progress of this process was provided at the Board meeting.
