The Professional Development Department is providing additional professional development opportunities to build employee capacity. These opportunities are available for certificated, classified, and management staff. These opportunities will provide high-leverage learning that supports employees' needs, options for learning outside of the contractual work day, growth and alignment across employee groups, and provide incentives to employees while building skills and capacity.

4. PRESENT and APPROVE 2017 RFP for Evaluation of "Best Value" Lease-Leaseback Project Proposals
The Board of Trustees previously approved the Lease-Leaseback delivery method for three summer projects, at the April 4, 2017 regular Board meeting. Under Education Code Section 17406(a)(2), effective this year, proposals for Lease-Leaseback projects must be evaluated using a "best value" method. The attached RFP contains the required procedures and guidelines for evaluating Lease-Leaseback proposals to ensure the "best value" selection process is conducted in a fair and impartial manner.
