At the Y, we focus on Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. One way we focus on Youth Development is through our Youth Sports programs. YMCA Youth Sports are based on the concept that fair play is the very essence of competition. Everybody should have an equal opportunity to compete and a fair chance to participate. We believe that our youth sports programs provide an excellent environment for developing sound spirit, mind and body. As these virtues grow, they will influence behavior in everyday life. At the Y, Youth Sports is more than just a game, it's a chance for youth to be introduced to a sport, be physically active and most important, have fun!
A message from our Youth Sports Director, Coach Too Tall Tom, "I can't think of a better place to learn a new sport, make friends, and ultimately have fun as a kid than at youth sports. The pure joy and excitement a child has playing sports is contagious to the point where coaches, spectators and I just want to jump in to be a part of the fun too!"
Want to have your child join in on the fun? Now is your chance! Indoor Youth Sports returns to the main Y on October 30th for more fun and learning! Popular favorites are back to end our Fall sessions such as Basketball, Floor Hockey, and Sports Spectacular!
