Check-in with Your Fundraising

Over the next week, every Rider will receive an email about your fundraising.  Each email will be individualized based on your current fundraising amount.  In anticipation of this check-in email, check-in with yourself!

Are you...

...almost at the $1300 fundraising goal?

...past your personal goal?

...just getting started?

Do you have a plan to ramp up your fundraising to make sure you meet (or exceed!) your fundraising goal?  As the ride approaches, please ask for help when needed and speak with Elana if you are worried about meeting your goal.  There are many resources just waiting to help you!

Refreshments will be served.

Where - Moveable Feast - 901 N. Milton Ave, Baltimore, MD 21205

crewMore Crew Needed
Bringing family/friends?  Ask them to volunteer!

Do you have supporters joining you during Ride weekend?  Or know of any veteran riders/crew who haven't yet signed up to join us this year?  There are MANY ways our crew help make this event a success.  Highlighted below are just some of the areas where support is still needed.

We could use more Crew support in the following areas:

- more SAG drivers;

- pit stop volunteers for Saturday; and

- volunteers at Moveable Feast (Friday, Saturday, & Sunday).

We could also use volunteers with some special talents, like:

- massage/yoga;

- bike tech skills; and

- photography.

Click here to see a list of all the ways volunteers help make this event a success.  All crew must register online (or with Elana).  If you have any leads, or questions about Crew, please don't hesitate to ask!

rftf2013Ride for the Feast 2013
We Want to Hear From You.

We need a new weekend for future Ride for the Feast events, and we need your help to figure out the best alternative!  This year's Ride for the Feast overlaps with an annual Ocean City event, called Crusin' Ocean City.  Because of this overlap, we've faced many challenges throughout the planning process for this year's Ride.

The Reason

Looking forward, if we try to continue hosting RFTF the weekend after Mother's Day, we will continue to overlap with Cruisin',  which is problematic for two very important reasons:

     1) The Town Council of Ocean City is uncomfortable having two events on the same weekend. They have already warned us that our permits might not be approved in the future if our event continues to overlap with Crusin'.

     2) Crusin' is a several day event that brings thousands to Ocean City - so hotels are incredibly expensive and hard to come by! Many also have 2+ minimum night stays as a result.

New Dates

As you can see, holding Ride for the Feast and Crusin' on the same weekend may not be possible going forward.  We've been busy looking at other potential date options.  As the Ride is traditionally the weekend after Mother's Day, we tried looking at the weekend before Mother's Day.  Unfortunately, that weekend isn't an option either, because Ocean City hosts an annual event, Spring Fest, during that time. Thus the remaining option is Mother's Day weekend.

Please Help Us

Please think about this date and let us know if you would be able to join us if the Ride is moved to Mother's Day weekend.  We are polling the ride community to get your input, advice, and support.  So please take minute to click here and tell us what you think about this option.
