Considering Culture
Earlier this year, the Annie C. Casey Foundation published a 5-part report series titled Race for Results.  The fourth report, Considering Culture: Building the Best Evidence Based Practices for Children of Coloraddresses concerns about the assumption that all data can be universally applied.  Two of the most compelling sections are  Exploring Alternative Forms of Evidence and  Learning More from Communities.
Being equipped to have effective conversations about what is and is NOT universal about "evidence based" impacts our ability to train families and to help them advocate for their kids.  What is "evidence based" for some may not be for others. It is important for teams to be willing to consider alternative data sources and solutions.
Enhancing your center's ability to better reach and effectively serve families in your target population.
