The Corporate Philanthropy Partners met on December 7 at the Community Foundation to learn about Community Foundation initiative progress and hear Cory Hunt, Deputy Director, Governor's Office of Economic Development speak about 
"Corporate Support for the Community in Nevada's New Economy."


Barrick Gold Gift Announced at Community Foundation of Elko County Public Meeting

"We're proud to be the initial corporate sponsor," said Rebecca Darling, Barrick director of corporate responsibility. "We would challenge - in a friendly, loving way - for other businesses to join us."

Barrick committed $100,000 over four years to the Community Foundation of Elko County, an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation of Western Nevada at the nonprofit's second annual meeting Jan. 4 at the Western Folklife Center.

Konner Robison 

Konner Robison first walked into the Community Foundation office as a Sage Ridge student participating in the High School Giving Circle. As a member of the Giving Circle, he had the opportunity to explore his charitable values and recommend $10,000 in grants to local organizations. From the beginning, Konner stood out as someone who had an exceptional ability to empathize with, and motivate others.
