HIB Reporting Tool

The Burlington Township School District strongly believes that student safety is a fundamental right. Students must be given the opportunity to learn in an environment of trust and support. To that end, we fully embrace the newly-enacted Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights and related board policies.

If a parent or student believes bullying has occurred, the matter should immediately be reported to the Principal, Vice Principal, and/or School Anti-Bullying Specialist.

Parents are also able to report incidents by using the District online tool.

Click here to access the HIB Reporting Tool.

Special Message to Young School Parents
Young School parents, please read these key points regarding the opening of school tomorrow:

Arrival
  • Parents are encouraged to kiss and hug their child at the bus stop or at home before school begins. Following safety procedures, parents will not be allowed to go to the classroom on the child's first school day.
  • Young School teachers and staff will assist students to their classrooms during the first week of school.
  • Parents are encouraged to have their child ride the bus to and from school.
  • Student walkers must be escorted by their parents into the school foyer. Curbside drop off of any student is prohibited for safety reasons.
  • Foyer doors open at 8:45 am for students to walk to their classroom.
  • Please remember to send your child to school with their bus tag that was mailed home.   Do not alter your child's tag .  Please use the link for accommodation busing or send in a note with your child if changes are needed.

Dismissal
  • Please be patient during the first few days of school as buses may be delayed as teachers check each bus tag to ensure all students are on the correct bus.
  • Parents picking up 'walker students' are required to show picture identification.
  • Student walkers will be dismissed approximately 3:30 pm to the main foyer area. Please be patient as we follow the safety procedures.
Please note there are new traffic patterns in the Young School parking lot. Police and school staff will be present to assist in directing cars to the appropriate drop-off areas. We ask that all parents and guardians drive with caution when approaching the school, as we will be welcoming our new and returning families back to school for the new year!
Special Message Regarding Buses
Parents are asked to be understanding  the first few days of school.  There may be slight delays with afternoon drop offs especially at Young School.  We triple check student tags before placing them on the bus in the afternoon.  Please do not alter bus tags. Altered bus tags delays the boarding process for students.  Please send in a note or complete the online form.

An e-alert will be sent, as we have in previous years, if we have delays.  We thank you in advance for your patience.

Please remember to register your special situations with the Transportation Department and your child's school. The best way to accomplish this is to complete the appropriate form found on this webpage.  This would include providing the district with information if your child is not taking the bus, attending PrimeTime after school, or being bussed to another address on a 5 day a week basis.

Please visit the  Transportation Website for important safety information.

Should you have a situation or issue that you would like addressed, please use the form on this webpage  to allow the district to collect needed information to expedite communication.  This includes requests for a change in bus stop and other questions.

DO NOT ALTER BUS TAGS
Every year we make a special request of our parents requesting that they do NOT change the information on the bus tags that were mailed home.  Altered bus tags delay the bus boarding process for students.  Please send in a note or complete the online form to report issues or changes.   Please do not alter bus tags.

Should you have a situation or issue that you would like addressed, please use the form on this webpage  to allow the district to collect needed information to expedite communication.  This includes requests for a change in bus stop and other questions. Do not cross off information and write in changes on the tags.  Remember altered tags causes bus delays in the afternoon.  Please use the online form.

We thank you in advance for following these specific directions.  It will assist us greatly in minimizing bus delays.
