Greetings!
New Sven
I know I've said it before, but seriously, I'm going to be sending out a new and improved newsletter every month .  My friend Elizabeth at Yellow Dog Consulting(see below) is going to be keeping my nose to the grindstone!

This new format consistently provides a favorite app or program, a useful technology tip, a spotlight on one of my referral partners and finally some info on upcoming events.

Please let me know what you think of the new format, and don't be shy about sending ideas for newsletter content, workshops, videos or just ask questions.  Get involved by following me on my Social Media outlets.  And by all means share this newsletter with your friends if you find it helpful.
Facebook Timeline for Business Pages
Facebook logo
Facebook, being predictably unpredictable, has decided to make the Timeline format the standard for Fan Pages at the end of this month.

Many folks have started screaming that it's not conducive to showcasing a business. My feeling is that once business owners understand the new features and how they can be used to promote goods and services, there will be a greater acceptance of the new format.  The video below gives you a brief look at the new look of your Fan Page.

Referral Partner for March - Yellow Dog Consulting
Yellow Dog Comnsulting Logo As many of you know, I've been working hard to rebuild my business and gain some new perspective on how to let the world know what Byte Slaves is all about.  I met Elizabeth Case at an eWomen event and was immediately taken in by her energy, enthusiasm, and grasp of the intricacies of marketing in today's world.  When she founded Yellow Dog Consulting I jumped right on board.

Yellow Dog Consulting is focused on helping the entrepreneur succeed when it comes to your sales and marketing goals. You are the expert on your business, let Yellow Dog Consulting be the experts with your sales and marketing.

Yellow Dog Consulting was named after Hank, the worlds greatest yellow lab. He's a humane society rescue dog who loves to be around people. Let Elizabeth know if you'd like Hank to join the meeting, he'd love to meet you, and he promises not to chew on anything (unless it's cheese, he loves cheese).
This Month's Killer App - Evernote
Evernote Logo If you're like me, there are lots of things I forget.  The kind of light bulb I need for my desk lamp.  The kind of refills I need for my pen.  That bottle of wine my friend pulled out at dinner last week..  Thankfully I've found an app that lets me keep up with that information from pretty much anywhere.

Evernote lets you take screen captures from your computer, upload documents or photos, and even voice notes.  These notes can be sorted into notebooks for easy recall.  Evernote allows you to search the text of a note if you're looking for a specific reference.

Evernote installs on your smartphone or tablet as well as your PC or Mac. Notes synchronize to any device when you log in to your account, so the photo you took of that wonderful item at the store with your phone is immediately available on your spouse's phone, your office PC.  Whatever!  You can share info with others via email, Facebook or Twitter.

Best of all, Evernote won't cost you a dime.  The basic version allows for tons of storage and virtually unlimited file transfer.  Still, there is a premium version that gives you even more power. It costs $45 a year or $5 a month.   Give the free version a test drive first.  I know you'll love it!
