The mission of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians is to build flourishing churches that make disciples of Jesus Christ.
"Pastoral Leadership" a word from ECO Synod Executive, Dana Allin
My initial involvement in ECO was as part of the team that was developing ECO's polity. When the team began looking at the part of the polity that would address standards for ordination, there was very rich discussion. All of us were in agreement that we wanted to set a high bar on the quality of person whom we were launching into pastoral leadership. At the same time, we wanted to live into our value of Leadership Velocity. Read More.

As an outflow of our commitment to equip leaders and provide resources that nurture flourishing ministry, we are providing a special "Coach Training" event in early 2017 in Greenville, SC. Learn More!

Grow

ECO is a rapidly-growing Presbyterian denomination that exists to serve the local church and reclaim a sense of covenanted biblical community. We are grateful for our 500+ pastors, 300 churches, and 14 presbyteries. This week, we welcomed Bluewater Presbytery into the ECO family! ECO presbyteries are designed to be flexible and to cultivate connection and community among member churches.

Plant

Our desire is to see churches planted that are gospel-centered, healthy, contextualized, and missional. We invite you to visit the new ECO church planting network and resource website.
Through sharing stories from church planters and church planting chairs (in person or media) at presbytery gatherings, and local churches, we seek to create awareness and enthusiasm for church planting.

Flourish

Discover how our churches can meaningfully engage in global mission at a pre-con event with special guest: Paul Borthwick. In addition, there will be a time of fellowship and special conversation with him on Monday evening, January 23, at 7:30 pm at FPC Greenville. This event is open to all, no matter which Tuesday morning pre-conference event you plan to attend at the 2017 ECO National Gathering.
