Salvation Army Donations Go Directly to Fremont Township
Fremont Township partners with Salvation Army to help residents in need.

If Salvation Army is one of your charities, if you donate online to this kettle fund, 100% of funds go to Mundelein area residents who come in to Fremont Township for help.These funds assist in times of crisis with rent, utilities, prescriptions, and work related expenses.

Adopt A Senior
We still have seniors available to adopt for Christmas. If you would like to help brighten the holiday for one of our seniors, please call Nancy at 847 223-2847.

Show Choir Event Tonight

Mundelein High School’s Vocal Music Department will host its annual Spotlight Concert and Dessert Friday, Dec. 8 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. The concert will feature the competition show debuts of the three MHS show choirs: Sound, Lights, and SoundFX, followed by a dessert reception featuring desserts donated by area bakeries.

Ticket prices are $20 for reserved premiere seating and $15 for reserved general seating. General open seating tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Children five and under are admitted free.

A raffle will also be part of the program and will include such prizes as tickets to a production of the musicals, Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen; $200 Meijer Gift Card, one night stay for two at the DoubleTree Hilton; tickets to a Wolves game; four passes to Shedd Aquarium and multiple gift cards from area businesses.
Ice Sculptor and Santa's Cottage
As part of Mundelein’s Santa’s Cottage holiday festivities, the Mundelein Arts Commission invites residents to a holiday show of ice sculpting in the Village Hall Plaza Circle on December 9. The sculpting, sure to be a delightful winter treat, will take place on the circle near Santa’s Cottage, and will coincide with the cottage hours of Noon-3 p.m. There, renowned ice sculptor Jim Bringas will hand-carve two four-foot high, 350-pound ice blocks into delightful creations for the amazement and enjoyment of adults and children alike.

Mundelein Cert Class
Do you know what to do in an emergency? Are you ready to take care of yourself, your family, and neighborhood? Did the summer flooding in our community or the natural disasters around the globe spark your interest in training to have the skills to volunteer
and give back to those in need? 

If so, consider joining the Mundelein Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for a weekend of training on emergency preparedness. People who go through CERT
training have a better understanding of the potential threats to their home,
workplace, and community. Training is free to individuals 18 years of age or older (or those 16 and 17 years old with a permission slip and waiver from their parents).

Upcoming 2018 training is scheduled over one weekend in January: Friday January 19 6:00-10:00 pm, Saturday January 20 8:00-4:00 pm, and Sunday January 21 8:00-4:00 pm. Training will take place at Mundelein Fire station #1 at 1000 N Midlothian. Send an email to or contact the fire station at 847-949-3260 to sign up for this in-depth valuable training. Please sign up by January 10, 2018.

We accept diaper donations for children and adults. If you have diapers you are no longer in need of, please consider donating them to Fremont Township. We do accept open bags.

If you have used towels, sheets or blankets that need to be recycled, please consider bringing them to Fremont Township at 22385 Route 60, Mundelein to be donated to local Animal Shelters and Rescues. You can drop them off in the bin on our front porch.

Did you know 85 percent of clothing ends up in the landfill? Bring your new, gently used, and used clothing to be reused or recycled.
