London6 London7 Linda Spends August in London

We hope you all had a fantastic summer! Linda spent most of August in London, where she did some business, but mostly visited with friends and family and spent a wonderful weekend at a friend's daughter's Bat mitzvah!

In spite of the usual slow-down in the publishing industry in August, Langtons International Agency is delighted to report that it sold a book on business and marketing and are currently negotiating on another book. We look forward to the publishers returning from holidays and gaining more traction as summer ends!

Praise From Our Authors

Thank you, Michael T. Force, co-author of The Light Bringer (HCI Books, 2011) and The Chosen (HCI Books, 2012) for your kind words! "Professional, dedicated, and committed to excellence, Linda should be considered a first choice for anyone wishing only the best in writing and publication assistance. As a first-time author, through her knowledge, creativity, and dedication, I have learned a lot from Linda."

Five Important Points for All Authors

  1. Hard work will get you published.Talent isn't the only thing needed when writing your book. Stay dedicated and keep working hard in all writing and publishing stages.
  2. Make the time. You should put time away everyday to work on your book. Your writing will be stronger if practiced daily.
  3. Be open to revision. The first draft won't be perfect. Nor the second, or the third. Be honest about your writing, take advice from professional editors, and fix the areas that need to be fixed.
  4. Build a network.Your reputation and connections matter. Start building your network early and keep it strong.
  5. Read more books.Reading is a great teacher and inspirational tool to use while writing your own novel. Going back to the source of what you love will help keep you moving forward.
