September 24th - New Signals on East Jackson Activated

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that flashing yellow arrow signals will be installed at the intersection of East Jackson Street and Bower Road in Macomb. The signals will be activated Tuesday, September 24th.

Yellow Flashing Light

Drivers may turn left after yielding to on-coming traffic and pedestrians. Drivers must use caution when turning [oncoming traffic has green light].

The Federal Highway Administration conducted a national study, showing a flashing yellow arrow helps prevent crashes, moves more traffic through an intersection, and provides additional traffic management flexibility for agencies.
