LANCASTER CITY SCHOOLS
Lancaster High School Students Help Fairfield Medical Center

Students at Lancaster High School
recently came together to help Fairfield Medical Center collect more than 8,000 pounds of food
for the hospital's Spirit of Christmas food drive. Students collected the food on Dec. 11 during a hot chocolate social at the high school.

Jim Crist, an intervention specialist at Lancaster High School who
helped coordinate the drive with Heart Failure Coordinator Brittany Meszaros and the FMC Foundation, said there was great participation
from the entire student body. "The high school is full of caring students who always help out when there is a need," he said. "The
canned good collection was a way for us to get students to come
together and have a hot chocolate social, but also help our community."

Ask a  Kindergartner ..."What is a School Board?"

Each month the Lancaster Schools Network will be tackling the big questions with answers from Lancaster kindergarten students. This month, in honor of School Board Recognition Month, we ask them: "What is a school board?" and give them a chance to hire their dream teachers!
