Women's Week - Building Camaraderie

------------------------------
Add up the ages of the three women pictured above having some fun at the fourth annual Women's Week at the World Barefoot Center in Winter Haven, Fla., and you get 179 years; Karen is the youngster at 48, Claudia is 61 and the matron of the group, Judy, is 70. "The neatest thing about Women's Week is the camaraderie that builds among the women during the week, which then continues to grow throughout the year," Judy said.

Florida Wakeboard Team Wins

Inaugural Wake Watch Party

USA Wakeboard is pleased to announce that the University of Florida wakeboard team won the $500 cash scholarship during the inaugural College Wake Watch Party on Sept. 26. The team can use the scholarship money during its upcoming season.

USA Wakeboard logo USA Wakeboard hosted the inaugural College Wake Watch Party at www.AllianceWake.com for the premiere of the 2013 USA Wakeboard Collegiate Wakeboard Nationals, which was held May 24-26, in Shreveport, La. The 12 schools that competed this year - Central Washington University won the national team title - had a chance to win the $500 cash scholarship. USA Wakeboard tracked all parties and judged all of the content posted. The winner was chosen based on quantity of posts, quality of posts and creativity.

"I'd like to give a hefty shout out to USA Wakeboard and AllianceWake.com for the $500 scholarship," said James Ort, president of the University of Florida Wake Club. Canyon Lake Forms Show Ski Team

The board of directors for the Canyon Lake Ski Club in California recently voted in favor of sanctioning as a show ski club through USA Water Ski. This is in addition to the current sanction as a three-event water ski club.

Since the club's formation, several USA Water Ski affiliated show clubs and individuals have helped donate equipment to the club. Badgerland donated a set of 4-tier pyramid lines and trios lines, and the Waterbugs donated six pair of show boards and a handful of doubles harnesses. A local businessman also has donated a Ski Centurion outboard hull and trailer.

The club is extremely grateful to the teams and individuals who have donated the items. The Show Ski Team plans to perform 8-10 ski shows next summer at their home location in Canyon Lake, Calif.
