The City of Edmonton is developing multi-year capital and operating budgets for presentation to City Council in October and November 2018. These budgets will take effect in 2019.
City of Edmonton staff will hit the road throughout August and September to bring a budget-themed game show to a variety of festivals and community events; to playfully inform the public about basic budget facts, and to encourage Edmontonians to make their voices heard.
“The budget reflects the priorities and values of Edmontonians as expressed through public engagement and communication to and from Council and Administration throughout the previous budget cycles,” said Mike Dowler, Director, Budget Planning and Development. “Public input is an important part of the overall decision-making process.”
This outreach initiative will also direct Edmontonians to

, an online tool to gather information about the priorities of residents.
