BITE BAR KICKED OFF HOLIDAY SEASON AT THE BLOOR STREET HOLT RENFREW THIS PAST WEEKEND

Toronto, ON (November 4, 2013) - For fashion forward shoppers getting a head start on holiday shopping, the latest fashion item was not the only thing lining the shelves this weekend.

Bite Bar, Toronto's premiere bite-sized dessert bar partnered with Holt Renfrew to provide a bite-sized pop-up dessert bar in the downtown Bloor Street store all day this past Saturday and Sunday.  Located by the denim section on the third floor, the Bite Bar pop-up shop featured several signature flavours including it's newest Bite of the Month (BOM), the Sinless Cinnamon, a bite sized cupcake infusing the taste of a cinnamon bun.  Other bite-sized desserts available for purchase were:

C Cup: It's a triple chocolate threat. Chocolate cake topped with chocolate buttercream and chocolate sprinkles.

CocoNuts: Chocolate cake topped with a fresh coconut vanilla frosting and topped with roasted coconut shavings.

Just Bite It: Our signature bite. Delicious vanilla cake stuffed with raspberry puree and topped with a raspberry vodka vanilla buttercream icing.

Red Velvet: A classic red velvet cake with a luscious cream cheese icing and red sugar crystals.

Strawberry Bite Cake: Strawberry cake stuffed with strawberry puree and topped with a fresh vanilla buttercream and pink sugar crystals.

"We're really excited to have brought Bite Bar to Holt Renfrew shoppers with our pop up biting zone," says Nisha Amin-Agnihotri, founder, Bite Bar.  "Shoppers loved the quick, fuss free dessert while starting their holiday shopping and many took the treats home to share with family and friends."

Having opened its doors in Spring 2013, Bite Bar has quickly become the go-to option for a sweet treat.  More than the average cupcake shop, Bite Bar features a range of desserts, herbal teas and cocktails with one commonality, their bite size!  Bite Bar is also an affordable option for anyone looking for a treat.  Prices range from $1.00 per bite to $3.00 for a cheesecakelette and teas and coffees can be paired in regular and large sizes ranging from $2.25 to $3.00. Combined, a Bite Bar customer can enjoy a variety of 3-4 bites and a tea for less than the cost of a coffee at a large coffee house.  Biting has never been so affordable.

The Bite Bar dessert and cocktail bar flagship store is located at 57 Elm Street in downtown Toronto on the corner of Bay and Elm.  Bite Bar's tasty treats menu includes gourmet bite sized cupcakes, marshmallow bars, and mini cheesecakes.  Their bar services include herbal teas along with dessert-themed cocktails featuring whipped cream-flavoured, caramel-flavoured, and fruit-flavoured vodkas.  Bite Bar is open from Monday to Friday 11:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. and Saturday 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Sorry Bite Bar has no biting on Sundays.

Bite Bar is Toronto's premiere bite-sized dessert bar providing dessert lovers with a guilt free option to enjoying their favourite desserts paired with dessert inspired alcoholic and virgin beverages. Opening its Toronto flagship location in Spring 2013, Bite Bar offers consumers a variety of fresh house made desserts including mini-cheesecakes, gourmet wrapper free cupcakes and delectable marshmallow bars. Rapidly gaining popularity since its Toronto inception, Bite Bar has been featured in several broadcast and print media and has appeared at many major events including the MMVAs, Toronto Fashion Week and the Toronto International Film Festival.
