Colonial Beach stories are focus of Sherryl Woods' latest book
Book launch celebration Tuesday, November 14
FREDERICKSBURG, VIRGINIA, November 10, 2017 - A book launch celebration will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 4-6 p.m. at Central Rappahannock Regional Library's  Cooper Branch in Colonial Beach, Virginia, in honor of the publication of  A Small Town Love Story: Colonial Beach, Virginia , the latest book by author Sherryl Woods.

Woods, who spent many childhood summers in Colonial Beach, worked with Cooper Branch Manager Kitty Norris to gather residents' stories of this Potomac River town. Stories of the days of tourists arriving on steamboats from Washington, D.C., the gambling heyday of the 1950s, and the Oyster Wars are included.

Some of the residents who contributed stories to the book will attend the book launch celebration.  There will be refreshments, door prizes, and copies of the book for sale. Proceeds from the sale will benefit Central Rappahannock Regional Library.
